April 2017 - Salus Global, the parent company of the AMPROOB and MOREOB Programs is pleased to announce that Dr. Guy-Paul Gagne, Director, AMPRO was selected for the Prestige Award given by the Quebec Medical Association. The Prestige Award is the greatest distinction conferred on a QMA member. It acknowledges excellence and contribution to the advancement of medicine and society in humanitarian, ethical, scientific, socio-economic, and educational or communication fields. The award recognizes Dr. Gagne’s impressive credentials and experience as well as the work he’s done supporting, facilitating and driving AMPROOB. The review committee noted his contributions to the advancement of medicine in raising the safety standards of obstetrics. Salus Global President and CEO Malcolm Eade extended his congratulations to Dr. Gagne ‘…he said: “Through his work with AMPROOB, Guy-Paul has demonstrated the value of education and the power of communication. He is a testament to the embodiment of a Program designed to positively impact interprofessional healthcare teams… his energy and influence can be felt throughout (and even beyond) the province of Quebec”.
Salus Global today announced the release of the 15th Edition of Obstetrical Clinical Content prepared exclusively for their flagship OB safety and performance program MOREOB.
In recognition of this 15th release, there are 15 updates or enhancements including not only the incorporate of current information into chapters, posters and quizzes but also new workshops on Skin to Skin in the OR and new videos on breech and shoulder dystocia.
Joint report focuses on quality and safety of childbirth, and on better protecting mothers and their babies
Some 380,000 children are born in Canada each year. Childbirth is the primary reason for hospitalizations. A comprehensive new report – the first of its kind in this country– makes a number of recommendations to improve processes surrounding labour and delivery in the hospital setting, and facilitate more positive outcomes for mothers and their children.
