Jennifer Blake, MD
Dr. Jennifer Blake is Chief Executive Officer of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC), which is a leading authority on women’s sexual and reproductive health representing thousands of specialists across the country. She is an experienced physician and respected leader who has facilitated major organizational change in both hospital and academic sectors.
E. Douglas Bell, MD, FRCSC
Associate Executive Director and Managing Director, Safe Medical Care, CMPA
Dr. Bell is the Associate Executive Director and Managing Director, Safe Medical Care, for the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA). His role is to provide leadership, management, and strategic direction to the Association, as well as to oversee the departments of Communications, Medical Care Analytics, Practice Improvement and Safety Programs Management.
Amanda Black MD, FRCSC
Professor, Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology
Dr. Amanda Black is an Obstetrician-Gynaecologist in the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Ottawa Hospital. She also works in the Division of Paediatric and Adolescent Gynecology at the Childrens Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO). She is an Assistant Professor at the University of Ottawa. She is actively involved with undergraduate and graduate teaching.
Jean-Joseph Condé, MD
President and Chair of Council, Canadian Medical Protective Association
Dr. Condé was first elected to the CMPA Council in 1995. He has since served on the Executive Committee and many of the Association’s governance committees, and has chaired the Audit Committee, Case Review Committee, Extent of Assistance Committee and the Regional Affairs Advisory Group. Prior to his election as president, Dr. Condé served as the CMPA’s second and first vice-president.
Catherine has more than 25 years in senior leadership roles, most recently at the Nova Scotia Health Authority (NSHA) as the Vice President, Quality and System Performance and Chief Legal Officer. In this role, she led, along with 24,000 Health Authority employees, physicians, governors and volunteers, NSHA’s work to achieve excellence through system governance, quality and safety improvement, and strategic planning.
Richard Wilson, CA
Richard is a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo, and has a Certificate in Health Care Administration from the University of Saskatchewan.
